You can apply for a new locker online using the internet banking facility. And offline by visiting your home branch.
Using Internet Banking
Visit the official website of Canara Bank, enter your Customer ID and password to login into your account. Once you have logged in to your account and click on “Services” → “Apply for Locker”.
Now you will have to select the state, city, and branch of Canara Bank where you would like to apply for the locker. Once done click on the “Submit” button.
By Visiting the Branch of the Bank
Visit the branch of Canara Bank where want to hire a locker or visit your home branch. Ask the bank employees if the facility is available in the branch.
If yes, then ask if there are lockers available. In case the lockers are available collect a locker application form, fill it out, and submit it to the bank employees.
Canara Bank Locker Rules
- The locker allotment is subject to availability in the branch.
- The customer should be a customer of Canara Bank holding an account with the bank.
- The KYC process should be completed.
- One-time registration charges of Rs. 400 should be paid to the customer during the allotment of the locker.
- The rent of the locker depends upon the size of the locker and the location of the branch.
- The security term deposit has to be paid by the customer covering the locker expense for 3 years. And can be renewed in the coming years.
- The due date for collecting the safe deposit locker rent is 1 April of every year.
